Informatics Computing and Software Engineering

[lang_en]

University Oxford Brookes University (UK)
Course Objectives This course also combines some of the generality of the computing course, but with modules concerned with software engineering. Software engineering deals with the transformation of information into more complex forms. It does so through software systems – its final products consist of programs and procedures implemented on a computer system. The applications of software are extremely diverse ranging from simple processing of well-defined data to complex computations and control of industrial production lines. Software engineering is thus a constructive approach to the development of software–an approach that is independent of the application of the software product itself.
